“Dealing” Won The Screencraft Writers Summit Pitch Competition

Since September I have been working on creating a scripted television series. When I decided to embark on this ambitious goal I called on my two friends Corbin Sanders and Ryan Sullivan to partner with me. Together the three of us have been working diligently to create an intellectual property that we could sell and hopefully produce. After filming a visual trailer, creating a series bible and writing a WGA Register script we were officially ready to take our project out into the world.

This past weekend myself and Corbin Sanders attended the Screencraft Writers Summit. At this summit we were granted the opportunity to network with industry executives, other writers,  and drink lots of free wine. The highlight of the competition took place when we decided to take our project and enter the Screencraft Writers Summit Pitch Competition. It was stated that nearly 300 writers participated in this contest with their film and tv ideas.

After two rounds of pitching and competing, our project entitled. “Dealing” won FIRST PLACE in the competition.

Some reviews from the pitch include:

“Deserved it!!! Best pitch of the night.” — Todd H.

“I can’t wait to see what you do in the future.” –Raquel F.

“I’m a jew from Jersey and I would watch this show that pitch was terrific.” — David R.

“You are legend and an absolute superstar.” — Tabatha W.

This summit proved that we have done the work and have something special. I have already begun emailing numerous agents and producers to get this project in motion. After this victorious moment I can honestly say we are on our way somewhere and I’m excited.

Keep us in your prayers.
